The Fastest Growing Criminal Enterprise
Human trafficking remains one of the fastest growing illegal enterprises. It is of special importance to the AML/financial crime prevention community who are tasked with the detection and reporting of human trafficking money laundering red flags.
As financial institutions you are in a unique position to serve as a line of defense against these terrible crimes.
Since February 2015, Timea has trained over
2000 members of Financial Institutions in North America with Verafin.
Timea was invited to St. Johns Newfoundland to present to a Canadian company called Verafin. Verafin is an industry leading, cloud-based fraud detection and BSA/AML software provider for Financial Institutions.
During her 2 day visit, Timea realized the power of Financial Institutions and the part they can play in detecting Human Trafficking.
Verafin asked Timea to join their 2015 FRAMLx tour to help educate Financial Institutions across the United States about how to detect Human Trafficking.
By the end of 2018 Timea will have trained over
10,000 individuals in the Financial sector.
