Timea’s Cause Inc. uses a social enterprise model to support education, awareness, and community action around human trafficking and complex trauma. Since 2014, Timea has developed initiatives that reach beyond traditional networks and create meaningful ways to support survivors.
Its initiatives include TC Online Institute, launched in 2021 to provide online education for frontline workers across Canada during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic; Timea’s Market, a handmade natural bath and body shop with 22 locations; Timea’s Thrift Boutique, scheduled to open in November 2026; and Timea’s Events, featuring live workshops, conferences, and public events in 2026. Timea's Market is a natural bath and body shop with retail locations and online shopping options that serve the public, markets, conferences, weddings, and other special events. It is operated by volunteer first responders, teachers, community members, and survivors of human trafficking in Muskoka, Ontario.
Thrift with purpose
Timea’s Thrift Boutique offers quality clothing for women and teens in the heart of Muskoka, located in the historic downtown of Huntsville, Ontario. The boutique will support two additional nonprofits that work with vulnerable youth, victims of exploitation, and human trafficking. The Timea’s Thrift Boutique team of volunteers and community partners is excited for the official opening on November 3, 2026.
TC Online Institute
TC Online Institute
Established during the COVID-19 pandemic, TC Online Institute provides frontline workers and social-service providers across Canada with training on trauma-informed victim care and recognizing the signs of human trafficking. To date, the institute has reached more than 30,000 learners.
