INDIGENOUS SURVIVOR EXPERT WANTED

The project:  Police and Service Providers online training 

Partnership type: Contract (Project by Project basis)

Tasks:  Ethical storytelling, Online recording of the survivor's story in an interview style, occasionally offering culturally sensitive content consulting, and occasionally will be asked to speak at live online events. 

 

We are looking for an indigenous survivor of Sex Trafficking or Forced Drug trafficking and Sex trafficking to help us provide education for Indigenous Law Enforcement and Canadian Police across Canada. The Survivor expert will be interviewed online for a 25 min final edited documentary-style educational video that will be included in our 4 hours of Online training. The Survivor expert will be compensated for the onboarding, the training and the recording time of the video. 

The video will then be admitted into our educational library. Each time a Police agency requests that video to be a part of their agency training, the Survivor Educator will be offered a Royalty fee.

 

Our contracts are created heavily based on Ethical Storytelling guidelines set by the United Nations; TC Online Institute will NOT OWN the videos. The agreement will give all control to the Expert over their own stories. 

 

Pay: $500 Initial pay for onboarding, training and recording of the training videos

Min $500- $1000 / Royalty fee per Police agency

Content Consulting: $100/hour

Live Online Speaking events: Min $500 - $1500

 

 

Requirements: 

 

Senior Consultant:

• Minimum of 12 months commitment required

• Minimum of 5 years of being away from the lifestyle

• Have a strong support system

• Have a deep understanding of Sex Trafficking and or Forced Gang lifestyle

• Minimum of 3 years of speaking experience, minimum of 10 Online events, minimum of 10 Live events,

• Lived in the same place for over 5 years or have been paying rent/mortgage for 5 years

• Have access to high-speed internet and a laptop

 

Junior Consultant:

• Minimum of 12 months commitment required

• Minimum of 3 years being away from the lifestyle

• Have a strong support system

• Have a deep understanding of Sex Trafficking and or Forced Gang lifestyle 

• Public speaking experience is a bonus

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in general workspace or School  (It can be on and off 2 years)

• Lived in the same place for over 2 years  (We can be lenient on this)

• Have access to high-speed internet and a laptop
